Information on admissions

Candidates with disabilities applying for admission to degree programmes take part in the admissions process on the same terms as other candidates.

Where the admissions process includes an examination or an interview (e.g. for a master’s degree programme), arrangements can be made to accommodate their format to the individual’s needs arising from a disability. This accommodation is intended to ensure equal opportunities and does not constitute an exemption from taking the examination..

The scope and form of reasonable accommodation are determined on a case-by-case basis, following an interview with the candidate and upon submission of the up-to-date documentation confirming the needs arising from their disability.

Adjustments can only be granted upon submission of an application to the Centre for Students with Disabilities.

All prospective students undergo an admissions process appropriate to their chosen study programme. The admissions page contains all the necessary information regarding the admissions process (to visit the page click here).

Accommodation of the teaching process

We encourage new students who, due to a disability or chronic illness, may require support during their studies (e.g. regarding the arrangement of classes in accessible buildings, or adjustments to the format of classes or exams) to contact the Centre for Students with Disabilities.

Getting in touch before you start your studies allows you to discuss your individual needs with us and help us plan appropriate forms of support and procedures for adapting the teaching process.

To ensure that classes are organised appropriately, e.g. classes are held in accessible buildings, or a sign language interpreter is provided, it is essential to notify us of such requirements as early as possible not later than 3 months before the start of classes.
